Jake and I will be having a karaoke fest at Ozzies in Seattle the night of June 14. We are expecting around 300 people (GASP!) at the reception at Everett Golf & Country Club, and we want to have a smaller party for our friends because we live far away from most of them and want to hang out for a little bit. The country club reception is scheduled to go from 1 to 6 p.m., but Jake and I probably will cut out around 5 (read: I will want to change out of my wedding dress into more suitable attire for singing and partying, and it would be nice to have some dinner).
In short, here is the list of events for June 14:
Noon: Wedding at Everett Golf & Country Club
1 p.m.: Reception scheduled to begin
6 p.m.: Reception scheduled to end
8 p.m. to closing: Karaoke party at Ozzies in Seattle
We're asking people now to carpool to the wedding and/or reception and/or to Ozzies. Seattle parking on a Saturday night (or any night, really) can be a pain in the butt.
There will be a piece of paper tucked into the invitation that explains all of this in further detail, but we wanted to start spreading the word. To RSVP for the karaoke party, send an e-mail to katierosenthal@gmail.com or get in touch via MySpace or Facebook.

People are definitely welcome to park at our place after the reception and then maybe we can get a taxi van to Ozzie's from there. Our place is probably the closest to downtown we can get. I'm trying to brainstorm.
Also, have you made a list of girls you want for a bachelorette party and when everyone is getting in?
I'm trying to figure out the best way to get people there. Damn me and my crazy ideas!
I'm most concerned about friends who aren't from the area and will have to stay in a hotel. Where would be the best place to put them? I'm thinking closer to SeaTac. That way, they wouldn't have far to drive once all the hullabaloo is over, and they'd be close to their departure point.
I'll get you a list ASAP. I know Jonalynn will be in WA days before the wedding, but Annie said she might fly in the morning of. My sisters and Jake's sister will be around, so that's easy.
It might end up being a very small party.
Kyra, call me!
